Are you interested in experiencing a wellness immersion that is book-inspired? During this program, you will be guided through a nature-based wellness immersion inspired by the book The Forest Unseen: A Year's Watch in Nature written by David G. Haskell. We will be going outdoors to collect natural materials to create mandalas. Mandala’s will be constructed indoors so feel free to bring comfortable floor-level seating (i.e., yoga mat or stadium cushion) if you would like. Feel free to read the book before the program, or just come and we'll walk you through the details. This program is planned to take place both inside the Centennial Barn and also outside in the park.
What to know before you go:
- Chairs will be provided for the indoor portion of this program. If you feel more comfortable on the floor, bring a yoga mat or cushion.
- The program space is fully accessible to those in a wheelchair.
- The Centennial Barn is an inside venue with full climate control
- Feel free to bring along water or another non-alcoholic beverage.
- Ample free parking is available at Fort Hunter Park
- Restroom facilities are available on-site
- Program participants must be 18 years of age or older
