ABOUT ABOUT

We can't control the world, but we can control how we choose to focus. This program will teach the basics of meditation with a focus on deepening family and friendship bonds in your life. We all love some people, but our love can be deeper and more expansive.  Come and learn ways of deepening your love.  Love is our true nature, our birthright.

We can choose to live life with a positive and loving heart. Meditation is a generic tool, useful for people of all belief systems, and a way to calm the mind. It helps us have a happy and peaceful mind. Participants should be age 12 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What to know before you go:

  • This will be a seated program with chairs provided - no mats needed.
  • Feel free to bring along water or another non-alcoholic beverage
  • Ample free parking is available at Fort Hunter Park
  • Restroom facilities are available on-site

The instructor is Kelsang Chondzin, a Stanford graduate and an American Buddhist nun of 18 years.

A Dauphin County Park Rx wellness program sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield. This sponsorship helps to defray costs for this program.

Note: Programs are non-refundable. If you register and are no longer able to attend, we're happy to switch out the name on your reservation to that of a friend or family member.
